Tokens of Faith (TAITH) ByLaws
Article I: Name and Purpose
Section 1: Name
The name of this online faith-based platform shall be TAITH.io.
Section 2: Purpose
The purpose of TAITH.io is to glorify God by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, fostering spiritual growth, promoting love and unity among believers of all faiths, and serving the online community in accordance with biblical principles and common values shared among world religions.
Article II: Statement of Faith and Common Beliefs
Section 1: Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
Section 2: God
We believe in one God, who is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We also respect the diverse understandings of the Divine as expressed in various world religions.
Section 3: Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
Section 4: Salvation
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We acknowledge the efforts of other faiths in seeking divine truth and moral living.
Section 5: Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
Section 6: Common Beliefs
We uphold the following values shared across various religions:
- Love and Compassion: Treating others with kindness, respect, and empathy.
- Justice and Peace: Striving for fairness and harmony in our communities.
- Service: Committing to helping those in need and contributing to the well-being of society.
- Integrity: Living with honesty and moral uprightness.
- Unity: Fostering understanding and cooperation among people of different faiths.
Article III: Membership
Section 1: Qualifications for Membership
Membership in TAITH.io is open to anyone who professes faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, has been baptized, and/or is in agreement with the Statement of Faith and Common Beliefs.
Section 2: Non-Discrimination
TAITH.io does not tolerate discrimination, xenophobia, evil acts, exclusivity, or any form of hatred. All individuals, regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, age, disability, socioeconomic status, or religious background, are welcome to become members and participate fully in the life of the Holy Spirit.
Section 3: Membership Responsibilities
Members are expected to regularly attend virtual services, participate in online activities, fellowship, contribute to the financial support of the online platform, and uphold the teachings and values of the God.
Article IV: Governance
Section 1: TAITH.io Leadership
TAITH.io shall be governed by a body of elected leaders, including a Pastor, Elders, and Deacons.
Section 2: Pastor
The Pastor shall be responsible for preaching, teaching, and overseeing the spiritual welfare of the online congregation, while fostering interfaith dialogue and understanding.
Section 3: Elders
Elders shall assist the Pastor in spiritual oversight, provide counsel, and ensure adherence to biblical teaching and principles, as well as the promotion of common values shared among various religions.
Section 4: Deacons
Deacons shall assist in the practical needs of the church, including administration, finances, and service ministries.
Article V: Meetings
Section 1: Virtual Worship Services
Regular virtual worship services shall be held online one day per week and at other times as determined by TAITH.io leadership. Services will be streamed online and accessible to all members, incorporating elements that respect and acknowledge various religious traditions.
Section 2: Business Meetings
Business meetings shall be held at least annually to review the church’s activities, finances, and plans. These meetings will be conducted online, ensuring all members can participate. Special business meetings may be called as needed.
Article VI: Discipline
Section 1: Purpose
TAITH.io discipline is intended to restore individuals to fellowship with God and in your Sacred Space, and to maintain the purity and integrity of TAITH.io.
Section 2: Process
Discipline shall be carried out in a spirit of love and humility, following the biblical principles outlined in Matthew 18:15-17. Members subject to discipline shall be given an opportunity to respond and repent.
Article VII: Amendments
Section 1: Proposal
Amendments to these bylaws may be proposed by the TAITH.io leadership or by a petition signed by at least 10% of the membership.
Section 2: Approval
Proposed amendments must be approved by a two-thirds majority vote at a business meeting, provided that notice of the proposed amendment has been given at least two weeks prior to the meeting.
Article VIII: Dissolution
Section 1: Process
In the event of dissolution, all assets of TAITH.io shall be distributed to non-profit organizations that align with TAITH.io’s values and mission.
Section 2: Decision
The decision to dissolve TAITH.io must be approved by a three-fourths majority vote at a business meeting.
These bylaws were adopted by TAITH.io on May 18, 2024 and are subject to revision as needed to reflect the evolving needs and mission of TAITH.io.
